Consultations & Screenings
We offer complimentary phone consultations to answer any questions you may have about the services we offer. We also offer a free introductory screening session (15 minutes) to determine if an evaluation is warranted. We know how important of a decision it is to choose a therapy company you trust and we want to help you make sure we are a good fit for you and your family!
Evaluations
Services typically begin with an evaluation. Our evaluations are a combination of assessments, observations and parent/client interviews. The evaluation process allows us to develop an understanding of the client’s strengths and challenges. These results, together with your preferences and goals, will help build an individualized treatment plan. We offer evaluations for speech and language as well as reading.
Individual Speech Therapy
Each client will have an individualized treatment program targeting specific areas of need. Sessions range from 30-60 minutes (based on client needs/preferences) of 1:1 individualized speech therapy.
Evaluation and therapy services are conducted in our office location or if mutually agreed upon, the client’s home, daycare, or school. Teletherapy is also offered dependent upon parent preference.
Reading Intervention
Each client will have an individualized program targeting specific areas of need. Sessions range from 30-60 minutes (based on client needs/preferences) of 1:1 individualized reading intervention.
A multi-sensory approach is used to teach phonics, blending, and writing based on Orton-Gillingham principles.
Cost of Services
Lantern Speech & Reading Intervention is currently an out-of-network provider for most insurances. Our services are often covered by out-of-network benefits dependent on your particular insurance plan. We recommend that you contact your insurance company before starting services to learn how much your plan will reimburse you. You will be provided with an itemized bill that includes all necessary information, including diagnostic and treatment codes.
As a courtesy to our military families, Lantern Speech & Reading Intervention is now an approved non-network provider for Tricare Select and will submit billing on your behalf.
